Job Title: Senior Oracle Database Administrator

We are seeking an experienced Senior Oracle Database Administrator to join our team. This role requires a deep understanding of Oracle databases and the ability to design, implement, and maintain complex database systems.

The ideal candidate will have at least 10 years of experience in administering Oracle databases with Unix skills. Knowledge of MS SQL databases is a plus.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Administering Oracle RAC production databases running Oracle 19c or higher on Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL)
  2. Designing, creating, and maintaining all databases required for development, testing, and production environments
  3. Providing installation, monitoring, patching, and database administration operations and maintenance services for Oracle Database, Oracle Advanced Security, Oracle RMAN
  4. Establishing database security to ensure data integrity, including access control
  5. Efficiently managing database storage, backups, and recovery processes
  6. Working closely with other DBAs, application administrators, developers, and testers to improve system performance, data quality, define requirements, and develop solutions to complex problems
Requirements:
  • Expertise in SQL and Oracle Database Administration tools (i.e. Oracle Database, Oracle Real Application Clusters (RAC), Automatic Storage Management (ASM), and Oracle Enterprise Manager)
  • Strong practical knowledge in writing shell scripts/ SQL/PLSQL for Database administration purposes
  • Experience with high volume websites that use multi-tier architectures a significant plus
