As an Automation Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automated test scripts for web applications, APIs, and backend systems. You will collaborate closely with development and QA teams to ensure software reliability, scalability, and performance across multiple platforms.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Designing and executing automated test scripts using Java, Selenium, and relevant frameworks for web and backend applications.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to define test scenarios, test cases, and acceptance criteria.
  • Identifying and reporting bugs and technical issues, working closely with developers to ensure resolution.
  • Maintaining and enhancing existing test automation frameworks and infrastructure.
  • Conducting code reviews and providing constructive feedback to improve test scripts and automation practices.
  • Integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins or GitLab CI to ensure continuous integration and deployment.
  • Generating detailed test reports and providing insights to stakeholders on application quality and stability.
  • Working with RESTful API testing using tools like Postman, RestAssured, or similar frameworks.
  • Troubleshooting and debugging issues, ensuring timely resolution of defects.

Requirements include:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in test automation, with a strong background in web and backend automation.
  • Proficiency in Java and test automation frameworks like Selenium, TestNG, and JUnit.
  • Experience in API testing using Postman, RestAssured, or similar tools.
  • Knowledge of Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) tools such as Cucumber for writing test scenarios in human-readable format.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar.
  • Familiarity with Docker for managing test environments.
  • Proficiency in version control systems such as Git for managing source code.
  • Understanding of Agile development methodologies and best testing practices.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot test failures efficiently.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
