Job Title: Automation Engineer

Job Description:

The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing and maintaining automation test frameworks using C# and Selenium WebDriver. They should have experience in building robust automation solutions, working in Agile teams and using tools like Jira for test management and defect tracking.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Designing and developing automation test frameworks using C# and Selenium WebDriver
  • Writing and executing automated test scripts for web, API and regression testing
  • Developing JavaScript-based automation scripts where required for front-end validations
  • Integrating test automation into CI/CD pipelines for continuous testing
  • Collaborating with developers, product owners and QA team members to ensure high-quality releases
  • Performing defect management, tracking and reporting using Jira
  • Creating detailed test cases, test data and documentation for automation coverage
  • Identifying test automation opportunities and contributing to automation strategy and roadmap
  • Ensuring test scripts are reliable, maintainable and reusable
  • Providing feedback on software design and user experience from a testability perspective
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in software testing with a focus on test automation
  • Strong programming skills in C# (must-have)
  • Hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver for UI test automation
  • Working knowledge of JavaScript for automation scripting and front-end testing
  • Experience with Jira for defect tracking and Agile project management
  • Understanding of SDLC, STLC, Agile/Scrum methodologies
  • Good knowledge of API testing (REST/Soap) and tools like Postman or RestSharp (C# libraries)
  • Experience integrating automated tests with CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, etc.)
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and debugging skills
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
