This job opportunity is for a qualified professional to manage and oversee risk management functions within the Enterprise Risk Management practice of a bank. The successful candidate will be responsible for establishing policies and guidelines on monitoring various risks, including Treasury, Investment, ALM, and Liquidity risks.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Market Risk Management
    • Establish and maintain policies/guidelines on Treasury/Investment/ALM/Liquidity risk monitoring.
    • Value complex portfolios, including Forex, Fixed Income, Derivatives, Equity, and other assets.
    • Provide independent mid-office monitoring support on Non-Performing Loans (NPLs), Fixed Income, Financial Institutions Group (FIG), Derivatives, limit monitoring, etc.
    • Monitor hedge effectiveness on a periodic basis.
    • Implement and calculate Capital Charge and Counterparty Risk Charge.
    • Conduct technical analysis of Equities, Bonds, and Money Market Funds.
    • Perform limit monitoring for Treasury activities as per Internal and regulatory policies.
    • Reconcile MTM with counterparty banks for derivatives deals and make/respond margin calls under CSA arrangements.
    • Prepare Regulatory and internal daily/periodical reports and Board notes for timely submission.
    • Enhance methodologies for counterpart credit risk measures like Potential Future Exposure (PFE), Credit Value Adjustment (CVA), etc.
  • Liquidity Risk and ALM Management
    • Monitor and simulate Liquidity Coverage Ratio (LCR)/Net Stable Funding Ratio (NSFR).
    • Robustly monitor and report risk on Maturity of ALM products.
    • Set limits for Maturity Asset Liability/Sensitivity Asset Liability using statistical modeling techniques.
    • Analyze Interest Rate Risk on the bank's book-based IRRBB or via Sensitivity Report analysis like Net Interest Income (NII) and Economic Value of Equity (EVE).
    • Show a good understanding of Behavioral studies of ALM products.
    • Have experience implementing ALM/Market Risk systems from end-to-end.
    • Pricing/Hedging of banking products across asset classes (Rates, FX, Bonds).
    • Be well-versed with Stress testing of Liquidity and Interest rate risk.
    • Familiarity with ICAAP, RAROC, FTP methodologies, RAS would be preferable.
    • Handle Audit queries and provide active assistance in audit.

The ideal candidate should have 6-8 years of relevant work experience in Middle East banks.
