About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Lead to spearhead our ETL and Data Warehousing efforts. The ideal candidate will possess in-depth knowledge of Snowflake, ETL workflows, and data migration testing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and support comprehensive testing for ETL processes, Data Warehousing, and Data Migrations with a strong emphasis on Snowflake.
  • Develop and execute robust test strategies, test plans, and test cases for data validation and quality assurance.
  • Analyze requirements, specifications, and technical design documents to provide timely and actionable feedback.
  • Perform data reconciliation and validation between source and target systems.
  • Design data quality frameworks for Snowflake environments.
  • Validate data completeness, transformations, and client onboarding workflows.
  • Conduct row-level and aggregated data validations across client datasets.
  • Ensure compliance with data governance, auditing, and security requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective translation of requirements into actionable testing scenarios.
  • Identify data quality issues, troubleshoot, and recommend improvements.
  • Drive automation in ETL and DWH testing where feasible.
  • Maintain high standards for non-functional requirements such as performance and security.
  • Mentor junior engineers, providing technical guidance and knowledge sharing.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders to deliver project milestones on time.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging testing tools and strategies.
  • Implement Quality Engineering best practices over quality control activities.

Requirements:

  • 6+ years of experience in ETL/DWH testing, with at least 2+ years working on Snowflake.
  • Detailed understanding of Data Warehousing concepts, Data Migrations, and ETL workflows.
  • Proficiency in SQL with ability to write complex queries for data analysis and validation.
  • Hands-on experience with ETL tools (e.g., Informatica, Talend, SSIS, or equivalent).
  • Strong knowledge of data quality, data governance, and reconciliation testing.
  • Experience with test automation for DWH/ETL projects is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) preferred.
  • Experience in a lead role – mentoring team members, assigning tasks, and ensuring quality delivery.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering or Computer Science or related field.
  • ISTQB certifications.

Desirable Skills:

  • Knowledge of Agile methodologies and working in CI/CD environments.
  • Familiarity with GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or other CI/CD tools.
  • Basic knowledge of Python or scripting for automation.
