iHorizon is currently seeking an experienced accountant to join our team.

As an integral member, you will be responsible for a variety of accounting tasks and client management. Xero and Hubdocs experience or similar accounting software is required.

We are looking for someone with a strong background in bookkeeping, financial reporting, tax compliance, and client communication.

The exact salary will be decided based on your skills, experience, and interview performance.

About the Role:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date Books of Accounts for clients, including processing sales and purchase invoices, recording administration expenses, and performing bank reconciliations.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and half-yearly management accounts based on client requirements.
  • Ensure timely and accurate submission of VAT returns for clients.
  • Analyze the General Ledger, make reclassification entries, and finalize year-end accounts for companies.
  • Conduct AP & AR analysis to ensure accuracy and resolve any discrepancies.
  • Reconcile various ledgers such as VAT, PAYE, and loans.
  • Generate necessary reports and file accounts with HMRC/Companies House.
  • Prepare timesheets and process payroll for clients.
  • Complete and file Self-Assessment Tax returns with HMRC as per client requirements.
  • Demonstrate the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in maintaining Books of Accounts, financial reporting, and tax compliance.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, standards, and practices.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and tools (mention specific ones if applicable).
  • Familiarity with HMRC regulations and procedures.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to manage client relationships.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Capability to work independently and efficiently handle tasks.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., ACCA, CPA).
