Structural BIM Coordinator Role

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Structural BIM Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Building Information Modeling (BIM) and a strong understanding of industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with project teams to ensure adherence to the BIM Implementation Plan, including model submittal schedules and updates to reflect as-built conditions.
  • Deliver client BIM requirements for Architectural and Structural services.
  • Perform quality assurance and quality control on Autodesk Revit models.
  • Prepare drawing packages for construction projects.
  • Develop technical capabilities in BIM Level of Development (LOD) 300, with knowledge of LOD 400 and 500.
  • Coordinate and develop designs from construction through BIM processes such as 5D/4D.
  • Manage 3D models, review model quality and technical content, including clash detection and compliance with the BIM Execution Plan.
  • Analyze models provided by Architects, Engineers, subcontractors, and consultants to identify coordination and constructability issues.
  • Utilize parametric and non-parametric family creation techniques.
  • Experience in Scan to BIM & PDF to CAD projects is an asset.

Software Proficiency:

  • Autodesk Revit.
  • Autodesk AutoCAD.
  • Navisworks.
  • Dynamo.
  • Recap.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Extensive experience in BIM implementation and management.
  • Strong understanding of industry standards and best practices.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to analyze complex problems and develop effective solutions.
  • Proficiency in Autodesk Revit and other relevant software tools.
