Urban GIS Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Urban GIS Specialist to join our team and contribute to the development of innovative solutions for urban planning and management. As an integral member of our team, you will work closely with clients and stakeholders to understand their needs and provide expert advice on GIS technology.

Job Description:

The successful candidate will be responsible for creating and maintaining spatial databases, performing spatial analysis, and developing maps and visualizations to communicate complex data to stakeholders. You will also assist in generating reports and providing quality assurance and validation processes to ensure the accuracy and integrity of spatial data.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Proficient in ESRI ArcGIS software packages and experience with specialist software packages.
  • Strong time-management skills and ability to maintain focus and discipline.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including both oral and written communication.

This position requires 3-7 years of experience and a Bachelor of Engineering degree or equivalent. The ideal candidate should have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, strong organizational ability, and effective communication and teamwork skills.

Additional required skills include proficiency in Windows, MS Word, Excel, and other Microsoft Office applications, as well as experience with CAD and Google Earth Engine. Preferred skills include experience with ArcGIS Enterprise or ArcGIS Online, production of Story Maps, and creation of Web Maps for offline data capture in the field using ArcGIS Field Maps, Survey123, and data Collector for ArcGIS.
