Urban Development Director

Your Next Role could be the most significant challenge you have ever undertaken. As an Urban Development Director, you will lead a multidisciplinary team to plan and implement large-scale urban development projects across public and private sectors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Define long-term goals and strategies for urban growth, regeneration, and smart city initiatives.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, urban policies, and regulatory frameworks.
  • Project Management: Supervise design and engineering of mixed-use developments, infrastructure, transport systems, and public spaces.
  • Team Leadership & Management: Build, lead, and mentor teams of civil engineers, planners, transport engineers, utility specialists, and project managers.
  • Sustainability & Innovation: Implement sustainable and innovative design solutions for urban challenges.
Requirements

A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Urban Infrastructure, or Urban Planning from a reputed university is essential. Post-graduation in Water, Environment, or Transportation is desirable. At least 25 years of experience in infrastructure planning and urban development, including 7+ years in senior leadership roles, is necessary. A proven track record of delivering complex urban infrastructure projects is also required.

Preferred Skills

BIM, AutoCAD Civil 3D, InfraWorks, project management tools experience is preferred. Exposure to large area developments, FII projects, Smart City programs is advantageous. Professional licensure (e.g., PE, CEng, PMP) is an asset. Excellent communication, presentation, and client management skills are crucial.
