Senior US Accounting Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior US Accounting Specialist to oversee the end-to-end management of U.S. accounting operations, supporting our finance function with accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting.

This role is responsible for reviewing and processing weekly timesheets and client invoices, ensuring accurate and timely submission of payroll/accounting data, preparing regular and ad-hoc reports in QuickBooks, managing and reconciling AP/AR accounts, assisting with GL entries, reconciliations, and month-end close, supporting financial statement prep in line with U.S. GAAP, tracking and managing PO expirations, and maintaining master data for employees, customers, and vendors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and process weekly timesheets and client invoices
  • Ensure accurate and timely submission of payroll/accounting data
  • Prepare regular and ad-hoc reports in QuickBooks
  • Manage and reconcile AP/AR accounts
  • Assist with GL entries, reconciliations, and month-end close
  • Support financial statement preparation in line with U.S. GAAP
  • Track and manage PO expirations
  • Maintain master data for employees, customers, and vendors
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience in U.S. accounting/bookkeeping (staffing/consulting preferred)
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP
  • Experience in payroll, AP/AR, and expense management
  • QuickBooks proficiency (mandatory)
  • Advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, reconciliations)
  • Excellent communication and attention to detail
