Senior Electrical Engineer Job Description

As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing and implementing electrical systems for our operations. Your expertise will be essential in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Electrical System Design:
  • Design and develop electrical systems for concrete pumps (electric boom pumps) and batching plants.
  • Prepare detailed electrical schematics, layouts, and diagrams using CAD tools like Auto CAD Electrical, EPLAN, etc.
  • Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams: Collaborate with mechanical engineers and production teams to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems into machinery.
  • Electrical Circuit Experience: Experience on Auto electrical (low voltage 24V/12 V DC) circuits, Familiarity with three-phase circuit and controls.
  • Compliance and Safety: Ensure that all electrical systems comply with industry standards, including IEC, NEC, and other safety regulations.
  • Review designs for compliance with safety standards, reliability, and operational efficiency.
  • Automation & Control Systems: Design and implement automation systems using PLCs, HMIs, and SCADA systems for control of machinery. Develop motor control solutions using VFDs, servo drives, and other control systems.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to automation and electrical controls in machinery.
  • Experience of working on mobile controllers. Conversant with Electro hydraulics and knowledge of proportional valve and integration with controllers.
  • Power System Management: Design electrical power systems including motor sizing, power distribution, and UPS/generator backup for batching plants.
  • Perform power consumption analysis and provide recommendations to enhance energy efficiency.
  • Technical Support & Troubleshooting: Provide technical support for resolving electrical issues during production, assembly, and field operations.
  • Perform root cause analysis for electrical components and suggest improvements in the electrical circuits to eliminate/minimize the problems.
  • Develop and implement solutions to enhance system reliability and performance.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with design, production, teams to ensure the electrical systems meet design and operational requirements.
