Electrical BIM Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical BIM Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will play a crucial role in developing electrical BIM models, performing cable tray routing and conduit layouts, creating accurate 3D models of electrical equipment, and collaborating with project teams using Autodesk Navisworks and Revizto.

Job Description:

  • Develop Electrical BIM Models: Create detailed electrical BIM models at various levels of detail (LOD) to ensure accuracy and compliance with NEC, IEC, and local authority standards.
  • Perform Cable Tray Routing and Conduit Layouts: Use Revit MEP to perform cable tray routing and conduit layouts as per project requirements, ensuring efficient and safe installation.
  • Create 3D Models of Electrical Equipment: Develop accurate 3D models of electrical equipment, including panels, switchgears, and distribution boards, to facilitate easy identification and maintenance.
  • Collaborate with Project Teams: Work closely with multidisciplinary teams, including mechanical, architectural, and structural engineers, to ensure seamless coordination and delivery of projects.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Strong Proficiency in Revit MEP: Possess strong proficiency in Revit MEP, Autodesk Navisworks, and Revizto to create and manage BIM models, perform clash detection, and coordinate with project teams.
  • Good Understanding of LV, MV, and ELV Systems: Have a good understanding of LV, MV, and ELV systems design and layouts, including NEC, IEC, and local regulations.
  • Hands-on Experience in Clash Detection and Shop Drawings: Possess hands-on experience in clash detection, shop drawings, and as-built preparation to ensure accurate and timely delivery of projects.
  • Knowledge of International Electrical Codes: Be familiar with international electrical codes, including NEC, IEC, and local regulations, to ensure compliance and safety in design and modeling.
  • Experience in BIM Workflows and Standards: Have experience in BIM workflows, standards, and LOD-based modeling to ensure accurate and efficient creation and management of BIM models.

Preferred Qualifications: A diploma or bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline, prior experience in construction/MEP/BIM projects, and familiarity with BIM 360 or other CDE platforms are highly desirable.
