Senior Quality Assurance Engineer Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Senior QA Engineer with extensive experience in manual and automation testing to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in building scalable automation frameworks, ensuring high-quality product delivery, and mentoring junior team members.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and maintain robust automation frameworks using Selenium WebDriver and BDD (Cucumber/Gherkin) principles.
  • Perform manual and automated testing to ensure product quality across web, API, and integration layers.
  • Write feature files with clear, business-oriented scenarios and maintain reusable step definitions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements, define acceptance criteria, and ensure test coverage.
  • Implement and maintain Page Object Model (POM) for scalable and maintainable automation.
  • Build and extend core framework utilities such as wrappers, waits, retry mechanisms, and driver handling.
  • Ensure clean code practices in test automation frameworks adhering to SOLID principles and OOP concepts.
  • Identify, document, and track defects, providing detailed root cause analysis.
  • Mentor junior QA team members and contribute to overall process improvements.
Required Skills & Expertise:

Core QA Automation Skills

  • Selenium WebDriver Advanced Proficiency:

Deep understanding of WebDriver APIs, custom waits, element handling, and synchronization issues resolution.

  • BDD (Cucumber/Gherkin) Mastery:

Proficient in writing business-readable feature files and mapping steps correctly for reusability and modularity.

  • Clean code practices with SOLID principles and exception handling.
  • Java or Framework Language Proficiency:

Strong OOP concepts, inheritance, abstraction, polymorphism, and clean code practices.

  • Step Definitions Design and Implementation:

High-level steps design without mixing UI locator logic, ensuring modularity and reusability.

  • Page Object Model (POM):

Strong understanding of POM and Page Factory, writing maintainable locators, and encapsulating UI interactions.

  • Framework Utilities Development:

Building wrapper methods around Selenium APIs, implementing custom waits, retry mechanisms, and driver utilities.

Additional Requirements:
  • Hands-on experience with manual testing (functional, regression, smoke, UAT).
  • Experience in API testing using Postman/RestAssured.
  • Strong understanding of test planning, test design, and defect management.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and integration with tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab.
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in QA, with at least 2+ years in automation testing.
  • Proven experience in building and maintaining automation frameworks from scratch.
