Software Quality Assurance Specialist

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical professional to fill the Software Quality Assurance Specialist position. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring software products meet quality standards by developing and executing comprehensive test plans, identifying defects, and focusing on database testing.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop, execute, and maintain detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts for software applications.
  • Perform thorough manual and automated testing to ensure software quality and reliability.
  • Conduct extensive database testing, including writing and executing SQL queries to validate data integrity, consistency, and accuracy.
  • Identify, document, and track bugs, defects, and performance issues using specialized tools.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and define test scenarios.
  • Perform functional, regression, integration, and performance testing to identify areas for improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational software development and testing standards and best practices.
  • Analyze test results and provide clear, detailed reports on software performance and any identified issues.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Experience: 1–3 years in software testing (Freshers with strong knowledge are welcome to apply).
  • Strong understanding of SDLC and STLC (Software Development & Testing Life Cycle).
  • Hands-on experience in:
  • Manual testing
  • Automation testing using tools like Selenium, Cypress, or Appium
  • Database testing using SQL
  • Proficiency with bug tracking tools such as Jira, Bugzilla, or Trello.
  • Good knowledge of Agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team.
