Job Description:

The Indian automotive division offers a diverse range of vehicles, including SUVs, electric vehicles, pickups, trucks, small commercial vehicles, and buses. It operates through subsidiaries and joint ventures to cater to both domestic and global markets. A notable achievement was the launch of two electric SUVs, which garnered over 10,000 bookings within 70 days, showcasing the focus on sustainable mobility.

This role involves leading the vehicle NVH development team, overseeing all phases of vehicle-level NVH delivery throughout the development cycle. Key responsibilities include guiding and tracking vehicle benchmarking initiatives, establishing robust target settings for multiple vehicle programmes, and ensuring excellence in NVH performance. The role also entails reviewing and monitoring test plans, coordinating and executing NVH development activities during physical prototype stages through cross-functional team collaboration.

  • Deliver vehicle and system-level NVH performance targets across multiple domains, including BIW NVH, sound package NVH, trimmed body NVH, chassis engineering, CFM, suspension and tyre NVH, glass and seals, mounts, as well as seats and steering systems.
  • Meet NVH targets for PT NVH, road noise, and wind noise by proactively tracking and planning for NVH risks, deploying effective solutions to secure NVH deliverables on schedule.
Required Skills and Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess comprehensive experience in vehicle NVH development, demonstrating a deep understanding of NVH requirements and solutions across various vehicle architectures. Proven expertise in applying vehicle NVH development tools and methodologies to diagnose and resolve complex NVH issues is essential.

  • Grounded knowledge in vehicle NVH simulation techniques will enable the candidate to effectively predict and improve NVH performance early in the development cycle.
  • Proficiency with advanced NVH analysis tools, including test laboratories, Muller BBM systems, and sophisticated techniques such as ASQ, PCA, TPA, and Sound Power measurements, will facilitate precise NVH assessments and improvements.
