About the Role
  • API Development: Design and implement low-latency APIs for instant sends, swaps, and approvals. This will involve crafting robust backend systems to ensure seamless money movement.
  • Partner Integrations: Own backend integrations with key partners (e.g., Turnkey, OneBalance), ensuring secure and reliable connections.
  • Ledger and State Machine: Maintain a resilient ledger and state machine for uninterrupted transactions. This will require expertise in database management and modeling for consistency.
  • Policy Engine: Implement a policy engine for approvals, caps, timelocks, and joint accounts, providing users with a high degree of control over their financial interactions.
  • System Performance: Ensure high performance, reliability, and observability across production systems, guaranteeing a smooth user experience.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience building scalable backend systems
  • Proficiency in TypeScript/Node, Go, Rust, or Kotlin
  • Experience with async I/O, queues, retries, and state machines
  • Strong database expertise (Postgres, Redis) and modeling for consistency
  • Proven track record of owning systems end-to-end (from design to production)
