Key Responsibilities:

• API Development: Design, develop, optimize, and maintain high-performance RESTful APIs using Node.js and MongoDB, ensuring seamless data exchange and efficient system operations.
• Scalability & Performance: Optimize backend performance for handling large data volumes and high-traffic production environments, guaranteeing exceptional user experience and responsiveness.
• Multi-Tenant SaaS: Develop and maintain multi-tenant architectures, prioritizing data policies, security, scalability, and efficiency to meet diverse business needs.
• Microservices Architecture: Design and implement microservices-based solutions, fostering modularity, maintainability, and flexibility in our systems.
• Database Management: Skilledly manage and optimize MongoDB, including indexing, aggregation, and performance tuning to ensure optimal database performance and reliability.
• System Engineering: Collaborate with DevOps to ensure scalability, reliability, and security of backend systems, driving continuous improvement and innovation.
• Product Development: Partner with product teams to create long-term, scalable backend solutions that meet evolving business requirements.
• Code Quality & Security: Write clean, maintainable, and secure code following industry best practices, enforcing coding standards and conducting thorough code reviews to ensure excellence.
• Monitoring & Debugging: Implement logging, monitoring, and debugging tools to ensure system reliability and minimize downtime, guaranteeing high availability and performance.
• Collaboration: Work closely with frontend teams and DevOps to ensure seamless API integrations and deployments, driving cross-functional collaboration and success.

Qualifications:

• 7+ years of experience in backend development with Node.js and MongoDB, demonstrating expertise in system design, architecture, and implementation.
• Strong understanding of microservices architecture, system design principles, and software engineering methodologies.
• Experience in building and maintaining multi-tenant SaaS applications, showcasing ability to handle complex business requirements and scalability challenges.
• Proven experience handling large-scale data and high-traffic production systems, ensuring high performance, reliability, and security.
• Proficiency in MongoDB, including schema design, indexing strategies, and performance optimization, guaranteeing optimal database performance.
• Experience with event-driven architecture and messaging queues (e.g., AWS SQS, RabbitMQ, Kafka), enabling real-time data processing and integration.
• Knowledge of authentication and authorization mechanisms (JWT, AWS Cognito, SSO), ensuring secure access control and identity management.
• Strong experience with API development best practices, security, and rate limiting, prioritizing performance, reliability, and scalability.
• Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and CI/CD pipelines, streamlining deployment, testing, and release processes.
• Proficiency in cloud services (AWS, GCP, or Azure) for backend infrastructure, ensuring scalability, reliability, and high availability.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with Redis, ElasticSearch, or other caching mechanisms, enhancing system performance and responsiveness.
• Knowledge of serverless architectures and cloud-native development, driving agility, scalability, and cost-effectiveness.
• Exposure to REST / gRPC for API communication, enabling efficient data exchange and system interoperability.
• Understanding of data streaming and real-time processing, facilitating immediate insights and decision-making.
• Experience with NoSQL and relational database hybrid architectures, leveraging strengths of both worlds.
• Familiarity with observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack), ensuring proactive monitoring, troubleshooting, and issue resolution.
• Experience in automated testing for backend systems, guaranteeing quality, reliability, and stability.
