Electrical and Instrumentation Engineer Job

About this role:

This position involves leading the development, assignment, and management of maintenance strategies for field instrumentation equipment. The goal is to enhance asset reliability by creating and assigning suitable equipment strategy.

  • Responsibilities include performing engineering tasks covering all key areas of instrumentation technology, including field instruments, control and shutdown valves, analyzers, and control systems.
  • Review and update equipment maintenance strategy for instrumentation (e.g., transmitters, control valves, flow meters, analyzers)
  • Collaborate with operations, maintenance, and engineering teams to ensure alignment of maintenance strategies with operational priorities.
  • Understand asset criticality analysis and asset strategy management.
  • Develop knowledge of preventive, predictive, and condition monitoring tasks regarding assets.
  • Standardize instrumentation maintenance procedures and test intervals across similar asset classes.
  • Familiarize yourself with hazardous area classification and international instrumentation standards.
  • Skill in preventive maintenance and troubleshooting of field instrumentation, including control valves, on-off valves, various field instruments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement engineering activities covering all aspects of instrumentation technology.
  • Develop and maintain equipment maintenance strategies for instrumentation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective maintenance strategies.
  • Analyze and understand asset criticality and strategy management.
  • Develop skills in preventive, predictive, and condition monitoring tasks.

Requirements:

  • Prior experience in electrical and instrumentation engineering.
  • Understanding of instrumentation technology and its applications.
  • Knowledge of hazardous area classification and international instrumentation standards.
  • Skill in preventive maintenance and troubleshooting of field instrumentation.
