Technical Leadership Opportunity

This is a senior technical leadership position responsible for overseeing the performance of 3-4 merchant vessels.

Key responsibilities include ensuring safe and efficient operations, routine and preventive maintenance, compliance with international marine requirements, and effective management of health, safety, and environmental protocols.

  • Operational Management:
    • Ensure vessels operate within regulatory guidelines
    • Maintain optimal vessel performance
  • Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Compliance:
    • Develop and implement HSE strategies and procedures
    • Monitor and enforce adherence to HSE standards
  • Budget Management:
    • Oversee budgeting and financial planning for vessel operations
    • Manage costs and ensure efficiency
  • Human Capital Development and People Management:
    • Lead and develop high-performing teams
    • Foster a culture of innovation and excellence
  • Relationship Management:
    • Nurture strong relationships with stakeholders and partners
    • Maintain open communication channels

Requirements:

  • Marine Engineer degree or equivalent
  • Experience as a Chief Engineer on Merchant Vessels
  • At least three years of experience as a Technical Superintendent
  • High quality technical and managerial skills
  • Strong analytical problem-solving abilities
  • Effective communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to multitask under pressure
  • Up-to-date knowledge of regulatory requirements
