Job Title: Associate / Senior Associate – Design Engineer

Location: Chennai

Experience: 4–8 Years

Qualification: B.E / B.Tech in Mechanical / Automobile Engineering

Domain: BIW – Closures / Underbody / Upper Body / Front-End Structure

Tools: CATIA V5 (Part, Assembly, Sheet Metal, GSD, Drawing), Teamcenter

Key Skills:

  • BIW design & development – Upper Body, Closures, Underbody, Front-End Structure
  • Strong knowledge of GD&T, vehicle packaging, assembly processes & feasibility
  • Understanding of manufacturing processes, tooling, stamping & regulations

Responsibilities:

  • Design & develop BIW components and structures for Passenger & Commercial Vehicles
  • Support VA-VE, concept creation & innovative design proposals
  • Collaborate with CAE, manufacturing & cross-functional teams for integration & feasibility
  • Ensure compliance with structural, safety, NVH, and homologation requirements
  • Deliver designs aligned with project targets (cost, weight, quality & timing)
