Job Description

The Institute is seeking an experienced and results-driven leader to head its Placement & Corporate Relations function. This key role requires strategic thinking, excellent communication and negotiation skills, as well as the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with top-tier companies, startups, and public sector enterprises.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership: Design and implement placement strategies that align with the Institute's vision and market trends.
  • Corporate Relations: Develop and maintain strong relationships with top-tier companies, startups, and public sector enterprises for placements, internships, and live projects. Organize industry conclaves, guest lectures, and other corporate interactions to increase engagement.
  • Placement Operations: Oversee the entire placement process, from pre-placement talks to final offers, ensuring a smooth and professional experience for both recruiters and students.
  • Student Readiness: Work closely with faculty and training partners to groom students to meet industry expectations. This includes pre-placement training on resume building, interview prep, and group discussion practice. Mentor students on career choices, profile building, and industry expectations.
  • Alumni Engagement: Leverage the alumni network for placement support, mentorship, and networking opportunities.
  • Analytics & Reporting: Track placement metrics, prepare detailed reports, and present insights to leadership and stakeholders.

Quantitative Targets:

  • Ensure the placement of 360 students for final placements and 360 students for summer internships.
  • Increase the median salary of the placed batch compared to the previous year.
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Postgraduate degree (preferably an MBA or equivalent) from a reputed institution.
  • 10+ years of relevant experience in corporate relations, placements, business development, or HR, ideally within a reputed academic institution or corporate setting.
  • Strong network across various industries (FMCG, BFSI, IT/ITES, Consulting, Manufacturing, etc.).
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • A strategic thinker with a result-oriented approach.
  • Demonstrated experience in building and leading high-performing teams.
