About the Role

The Opportunity

We are seeking a visionary leader to build and scale our Ocean & Air product vertical in India.

  • Manage a substantial Ocean/Air P&L and team, developing and maintaining relations with ocean carrier partners, including global and regional partners.
  • Design, build, and price our Ocean/Air marketplace coverage.
  • Lead a diverse team of leaders and execute Global Carrier Strategy and Development on Regional Trade Carrier Strategy.
  • Procure competitive market rates, design products, and manage yield.
  • Respond to tenders and RFQs to secure regional and global customers through your team.
  • Manage a team of Market experts in Ocean/Air Freight.
  • Support our sales and marketing organization with market information, sales leads, and joint sales visits.
  • Educate teams with trade-specific market knowledge and trade idiosyncrasies.

You will shape procurement strategy, pricing, carrier partnerships, and commercial operations from the ground up, driving India's growth trajectory in our global network.

This role involves significant travel locally, nationally, and internationally, as well as direct CEO visibility. You will have the resources to put your mark on the industry.

We are looking for someone with 15+ years of prior Ocean Freight experience at a top freight forwarder or carrier or 15+ years of supply chain experience and a BA/BS Degree.
