Job Overview

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the operations of our Fulfillment Centers (FCs). Your primary focus will be on ensuring that our warehouse associates are properly trained and equipped to meet the needs of our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review work forecasts and determine productivity requirements to meet overall building objectives.
  • Partner with other Area Managers to balance labor and ensure efficient shift operations.
  • Support all safety programs and OSHA compliance to maintain a safe work environment.
  • Identify and lead process improvement initiatives using Lean tools.

Additional Job Elements:

  • Regular bending, lifting, stretching, and reaching below the waist and above the head.
  • Walking in the FC and around areas with great frequency; facilities are over a quarter mile in length.
  • Continual standing and/or walking.
  • Ability to work in construction/distribution environments that may be noisy, unlit, not air-conditioned.
  • Able to access all areas of the building (ascending and descending ladders, stairs, gangways safely and without limitation).
RequirementsSkills and Qualifications
  • Direct management experience for employees and their performance.
  • Experience with performance metrics and process improvement.
  • Candidates must be flexible to work weekends and/or overnight shifts regularly.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  • 2+ years of employee and performance management experience.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or 2+ years of Amazon (blue badge/FTE) experience.
  • Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • 1+ years of performance metrics, process improvement, or lean techniques experience.
