Electrical BIM Modelling Specialist

As an Electrical BIM Modelling Specialist, you will play a key role in the development and management of 3D electrical models using Autodesk Revit, Navisworks and BIM 360. This requires expertise in electrical design, including knowledge of electrical systems, power distribution, lighting and cable routing.

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of BIM Execution Plans (BEPs) and Level of Development (LOD) requirements, as well as experience with clash detection, coordination and multidisciplinary collaboration.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and manage 3D electrical models for MEP projects using Autodesk Revit, Navisworks and BIM 360.
  • Create electrical layouts, schematics, conduit/tray routing, panel schedules, and lighting and ELV systems.
  • Prepare electrical circuit layouts, schematics, and construction drawings.
  • Ensure clash detection and resolution by coordinating with other MEP disciplines.
  • Generate shop drawings, as-built drawings, and installation drawings based on design models.
  • Collaborate with engineers, architects, and contractors for BIM execution and coordination.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Diploma/Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum 4-6 years of experience in BIM electrical modelling for MEP projects.
  • Proficiency in Revit MEP, Navisworks, AutoCAD, and BIM 360.
  • Strong understanding of electrical systems, power distribution, lighting and cable routing.
  • Experience with clash detection, coordination and multidisciplinary collaboration.
  • Knowledge of BIM Execution Plans (BEPs) and Level of Development (LOD) requirements.
