Solar Power Project Lead Role

The position of Senior Solar Project Manager is open at our company. This key role involves overseeing the technical department of an organization, responsible for solar power projects. The ideal candidate will have expertise in solar PV technology, project management, and team leadership.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Manage and lead a team of engineers and technicians in the design, installation, commissioning, and service operations of solar PV systems.
  2. Conduct site surveys to ensure compliance with relevant guidelines and quality benchmarks.
  3. Oversee project planning, technical feasibility, system sizing, and preparation of BOQs (Bills of Quantities).
  4. Ensure the smooth execution of EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) projects, monitoring timelines, budgets, and resources.
  5. Provide technical support in pre-sales and business development, including site surveys and technical proposals.
  6. Lead vendor management and selection of components in line with approved supplier lists.
  7. Drive innovation, adoption of new technologies, and implementation of best practices in solar engineering.
  8. Maintain coordination with technical teams for project approvals, audits, and escalations.
  9. Ensure adherence to all safety protocols, statutory requirements, and regulatory compliance.
Key Qualifications
  • Diploma, Bachelor's, or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in solar EPC and renewable energy sector, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of solar PV module technology, inverters, BOS, SCADA monitoring systems, and storage solutions.
  • Proven expertise in handling medium to large-scale and ground-mounted solar projects.
  • Excellent project management skills with experience in leading cross-functional teams.
  • Strong understanding of safety standards, grid regulations, and statutory compliances.
  • Ability to liaise effectively with clients, consultants, and other teams.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
