Job Title: Gynaecologist

Overview:

As a highly skilled gynaecologist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the overall success of our team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Complete inpatient department rounds at the start of the day, ensuring patient files are complete.
  • Initiate outpatient department consultations and provide counselling to all patients.
  • Perform intrauterine insemination (IUI) and sonography procedures as needed.
  • Issue prescriptions and requisitions as necessary.
  • Collaborate with assistant doctors and sisters to take morning and evening IPD rounds.
  • Verify daily orders written by assistant doctors in the inpatient department.
  • Review monitoring charts and check patient parameters and investigations.
  • Ensure verification of IPD and OT consents for newly admitted patients.
  • Advise on necessary investigations and inform patients accordingly.
  • Address patient complaints and take corrective actions.

Operative Procedures:

  • Perform operative procedures such as OPU, ET, and HLScopy as required.
  • Ensure timely commencement of operative procedures.
  • Verify pre-operative preparations by OT sisters according to the Pre-Op Checklist.
  • Assist or perform OT duties as necessary.
  • Enter anaesthesia notes and document OT activities.
  • Provide post-operative orders to assistant doctors.
  • Conduct a post-op round immediately after shifting patients.
  • Perform post-op counselling with patient relatives.
  • Verify software entries for recording post-op findings by sisters and assistant doctors.
  • Determine discharge and prepare discharge papers with RMO assistance.
  • Ensure completion of IPD paperwork by assistant doctors and sisters.
  • Respond to emergencies and complications, seeking senior gynaecologist assistance when needed.
  • Participate in camps and outreach OPDs.
  • Maintain oversight and control of all clinical staff.
