Economist Lecturer

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver lectures, tutorials, and case-study-based sessions for undergraduate/postgraduate Management courses, focusing on theoretical foundations and practical applications.
  • Create curriculum and course materials aligned with current economic policies, business practices, and academic standards, ensuring student engagement and understanding.
  • Guide students in academic projects, dissertations, research, and internships related to economics and management, providing mentorship and support.
  • Evaluate students' coursework, assignments, presentations, and examinations, using a fair and transparent assessment process.
  • Organize workshops, seminars, and guest lectures to enhance applied learning, inviting industry experts and academics to share their knowledge.
  • Pursue academic research and publish in reputed peer-reviewed journals and conferences in the field of Economics and Management, contributing to the body of knowledge.
  • Participate in departmental meetings, committees, and curriculum enhancement initiatives, collaborating with colleagues to improve teaching and research.
  • Stay updated with economic trends, policy changes, and emerging methodologies, integrating them into teaching and research to ensure relevance and impact.

Qualifications:

  • Masters or Doctorate in Economics, Applied Economics, Business Economics, or a related field.
  • Teaching and/or industry/research experience in Economics is preferred, demonstrating a commitment to pedagogy and practice.
  • Proficiency in analytical tools, statistical software (e.g., R, STATA, SPSS), and data interpretation is highly desirable, enabling effective analysis and decision-making.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills are essential for successful collaboration and stakeholder engagement.
