AWS Observability Architect Job Summary

Our team is seeking an experienced AWS Observability Architect to join our ranks. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and implementing comprehensive observability solutions within AWS environments.

  • Developing and implementing observability strategies to monitor, log, and trace system performance metrics
  • Analyzing system performance data and implementing improvements to enhance application reliability and performance
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate observability best practices throughout the development lifecycle
  • Designing and maintaining dashboards and alerts to provide actionable insights and ensure timely response to incidents
  • Implementing automation for monitoring, alerting, and incident response to streamline operations and reduce manual intervention
  • Ensuring observability solutions comply with security and regulatory standards and best practices
  • Mentoring junior team members to build a robust observability practice across the organization
Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • At least 8 years of experience, with a minimum of 5 years in observability, monitoring, or related roles, with a strong focus on AWS environments
  • Expertise in AWS services such as CloudWatch, X-Ray, and CloudTrail, as well as experience with observability tools like Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK stack
  • Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) and automation tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose complex issues and implement effective solutions
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
  • AWS certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, or similar are preferred
