Project Director Job Opportunity

This senior role involves leading and overseeing projects from planning through to execution, ensuring they meet specified quality standards, are delivered on time and within budget.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop Comprehensive Project Plan: Create a detailed project plan covering all phases including design, procurement, construction, and commissioning, identifying critical paths and milestones.
  • Schedule and Progress Management: Review contractor-submitted schedules and progress reports to ensure alignment with project timelines and budgets, collaborating closely with the project team.
  • Financial Oversight: Track financial performance against the approved budget, identify cost deviations, alert management, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Progress Monitoring: Monitor progress across engineering, procurement, manpower mobilization, construction, and commissioning, ensuring contractor deliverables meet project standards and contractual requirements.
  • Reporting and Communication: Generate and deliver detailed performance reports for management, identifying accomplishments, bottlenecks, and critical issues impacting delivery, serving as a central communication point between internal teams, external contractors, vendors, and management.
  • Change Management: Lead implementation of change management processes to evaluate and approve variations to scope, schedule, and budget.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, Engineering, or a related field. Preference for candidates from NICMAR or equivalent institutions.
  • Advanced proficiency in planning tools such as MS Project and Primavera.
