Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Finance and Business Operations Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance, accounting, and business operations, with excellent leadership and communication skills.

This role is responsible for leading the finance and administrative operations of our organization. The successful candidate will oversee day-to-day financial management, statutory compliance, procurement, insurance administration, and operational support for our India office.

The Finance and Business Operations Manager will play a critical part in setting up and maintaining financial instruments and risk protections to ensure that our organization meets its regulatory, contractual, and operational obligations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Management: Set up and manage accounting systems and processes for timely bookkeeping, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
  • Payroll, Taxation, and Statutory Compliance: Oversee employee payroll processing and ensure compliance with all applicable Indian labour, tax, and provident fund laws.
  • Insurance and Risk Management: Lead the procurement, review, and renewal of essential business insurance policies.
  • Financial Instruments and Banking Infrastructure: Establish and manage banking relationships, ensuring optimal account structures for operational efficiency.
  • Procurement and Office Operations: Manage procurement of IT equipment, software licences, and office supplies.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Commerce, or related field (CA/CPA/MBA preferred)
  • Minimum 5–7 years' experience in finance, accounting, or business operations
  • Strong working knowledge of Indian labour law, tax compliance, and statutory reporting
  • Familiarity with risk management and insurance procurement, particularly in service-sector businesses
  • Experience with cloud-based accounting platforms (e.g. Xero) and digital banking tools
