Overview of the Project Manager Role

Job Description:

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading our Chemicals and Materials Global Practice within our Advisory team. This is a six-month contractual position, with the goal of delivering high-quality projects that meet or exceed client expectations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Guide research process and deliverables of proprietary projects
  • Oversee efforts of the individuals conducting research, and write reports
  • Work with senior management to develop/refine project scope, scheduling, budget, and client deliverables
  • Drive staff performance to successful completion of studies
  • Assure content and quality of studies
  • Write/Review reports for proprietary studies
  • Work with project team to conduct analysis, develop appraisal and recommendations, and prepare presentations and supporting documentation
  • Present findings of project to client
  • Conduct primary interviews to obtain critical insights and information
  • Maintain and develop client relationships
  • Assist with business development meetings and presentations
  • Identify enhancements to project deliverables and work processes
  • Develop practice's junior staff
Requirements:
  • At least ten years of experience in consulting in the chemical industry
  • Analytical, communication, presentation, and facilitation skills
  • Ability to manage, mentor, and motivate in a team environment
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Engineering (preferably Chemical), or related field
