We are seeking a highly skilled leader to join our team as a Technical Lead.

This role will involve building the technical stack for our company's next-generation platform, Last Mile 2.0.

The ideal candidate will have expertise in designing and implementing distributed systems, microservices, and API architecture.

In addition to technical skills, we are looking for someone with strong leadership abilities, who can mentor and grow their team members.

As a key member of our engineering team, you will work closely with our CTO and co-founders to shape the overall direction of the company.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Building core systems from scratch, including backend services, APIs, orchestration engines, and infrastructure.
  • Shaping architecture decisions that will define the company's technology roadmap for years to come.
  • Moving quickly from pilot to scale, ensuring seamless deployment of new features and services.
  • Working across the entire tech stack, including backend (Go, Python, Node), infrastructure (AWS, Terraform, Redis, OSRM), and app integrations (React Native, APIs).
  • Influencing technical culture, standards, and early team-building efforts.

This is not a traditional developer role; instead, it's an opportunity to be a co-creator of our platform.

Key Responsibilities

Some of your specific responsibilities will include:

  • Owning and building services like Orchestrator, droneAI APIs, and rider ops tooling.
  • Deploying and managing AWS infrastructure, including RDS, Redis, OSRM servers, ECS/Fargate, VPCs, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Productionizing demand prediction, rider assignment, and fleet balancing models using AI/ML techniques.
  • Translating architecture into production code, keeping things simple and reliable.
  • Defining best practices, reviewing code, and growing into a leadership role as the team scales.
What We're Looking For

We are seeking someone with:

  • A minimum of 5-8 years of experience building and shipping backend systems, preferably in Go and Python.
  • A strong understanding of distributed systems, microservices, and API design.
  • Experience with the AWS stack, including EC2, RDS/Postgres, Redis, and networking basics (VPC, NAT, IGW).
  • Comfort with DevOps tools, such as Terraform, GitHub Actions, Docker, and ECS.
  • Bonus points for experience with geospatial systems, real-time platforms, or ML inference integration.
