Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior FIX Protocol Expert to join our team. As a senior expert in the FIX protocol, you will gain a deep understanding of the electronic trading business and develop strong analytical and logical thinking capabilities.

You will be well-organized and detail-oriented, with exceptional communication and team management skills. Your passion for solving complex problems will drive you to excel in this role.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish effective communication channels with tech teams of clients/brokers and their technology vendors.
  • Translate bespoke business workflows into software solutions in collaboration with various teams.
  • Participate in strategic projects such as system improvements, regulatory changes, and new functionality rollouts.
Essential Skills:
  • Thorough understanding of FIX protocol (ver. 4.2/4.4)
  • Experience with programming languages (Java, C++, C, Python)
  • Proficiency in Unix/Linux-based Operating Systems Applications
  • Knowledge of databases and basic SQL queries (Oracle/SQL)
  • Understanding of the FIX certification process
  • Experience in electronic trading environments, specifically in FIX onboarding or FIX Support capacity
  • Familiarity with networking protocols, VPN, Extranet connectivity, and TCP/IP concepts
  • Exposure to asset classes: Equities, Futures, Options, FX
  • Proven experience in training and mentoring junior team members
  • Previous experience with Jira for project tracking and Confluence for documentation and knowledge sharing
Desired Skills:
  • Scripting knowledge in Shell/Python
  • Familiarity with Algorithmic Trading
  • Previous experience with Order Management Systems/Execution Management Systems, exchanges, or trading firms
