Technical Writer Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Technical Writer to develop and maintain high-quality, user-friendly documentation for software products.

About the Role:
  • Develop and write product documentation, including user guides, API documentation, installation guides, release notes, FAQs, and knowledge base articles.
  • Translate complex technical concepts into clear, concise, and engaging content for both technical and non-technical users.
  • Collaborate with engineering and product teams to understand features, workflows, and architecture.
  • Create content for developer documentation including APIs, SDKs, and integration guides.
  • E nsure all documentation aligns with brand guidelines, tone of voice, and style standards.
  • Maintain and update documentation in line with product releases and customer feedback.
  • Work with UI/UX teams to integrate in-product help, tooltips, and tutorials.
  • Contribute to documentation strategy, including structure, format, and knowledge management best practices.
  • Leverage tools such as MadCap Flare, RoboHelp, Confluence, Git, Markdown, and CMS systems for authoring and publishing.
  • Collaborate with support teams to enhance knowledge base and self-service documentation.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science, Technical Communication, English, or related field.
  • 5+ years of proven experience as a Technical Writer for software products.
  • Strong ability to understand and explain complex software concepts (cloud, APIs, integrations, enterprise applications, SaaS).
  • Hands-on experience with documentation tools (MadCap Flare, Confluence, Markdown, Git, Oxygen XML, or similar).
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodology and product development lifecycle.
  • Experience documenting APIs, SDKs, cloud-based applications, and data platforms is a strong plus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deliver high-quality content under tight deadlines.
