Vertical Transportation Business Leader

This role requires a comprehensive understanding of the Indian vertical transportation market, promoting our local profile, generating sales, and building relationships with customers and regulators.

About the Role:

  • Familiarize yourself with the customer, competitor, authority, and regulation landscape in India
  • Provide market input for updating and fine-tuning the VT strategy for India

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop a business development strategy to implement the growth strategy provided by the BU LCC and South Asia
  • Promote us as a leading VT authority in India
  • Create and identify sales leads through networking, industry observation, and research
  • Effective customer relationship management and customer retention
  • Prepare sales presentations and materials in cooperation with the BU LCC and marketing department
  • Coordinate with global VT experts for joint customer presentations and visits
  • Collaborate with other subsidiaries

Operations and Resources:

  • Ensure smooth and efficient operations in accordance with QMS and customer satisfaction
  • P&L responsibility for VT activities in India
  • Prepare regular progress reports and resources planning
  • Recruit, develop, and lead VT experts and ensure necessary training
  • Manage authorization levels and personal development plans

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent communication skills in relevant local languages and English (B2 level)
  • Good presentation skills and strategic thinking
  • Team player and mobility for business trips in the region

Desired Skills and Qualifications:

  • Basic knowledge of lift technology and industry
  • Familiarity with inspections and certifications of VT

Education:

  • Bachelor Engineering degree (electrical, mechanical)
  • Master degree beneficial, particularly a business-oriented one (MBA)

The ideal candidate should have excellent communication skills, leadership qualities, and strong analytical abilities. They must be well-versed in various aspects of vertical transportation, including technology, regulations, and customer relations.
