Senior Operations Manager

The ideal candidate will oversee the strategic planning and execution of all operational aspects of the MICE division.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Event Execution: Manage end-to-end operations of MICE events, including logistics, vendor coordination, budgeting, and team management.
  • Team Leadership: Lead the operations team, providing guidance, motivation, and performance management.
  • Business Alignment: Collaborate closely with sales, marketing, and client relations to align operational execution with business goals.
  • Negotiation and Contract Management: Negotiate and manage contracts with suppliers, venues, and service providers to secure competitive rates and quality services.
  • Site Inspection and Venue Assessment: Conduct site inspections, assess venues, and ensure all event requirements are met.
  • Operational Efficiency: Monitor and evaluate operational efficiency, implement process improvements, and drive cost optimization.
  • Risk Management and Compliance: Oversee compliance with safety, legal, and quality standards during event execution.
  • Contingency Planning: Handle risk management and contingency planning for seamless event delivery.
  • Reporting and Client Relationships: Prepare operational reports and MIS for senior management and clients. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and suppliers.
Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Hospitality, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Experience: Minimum 7-10 years in event operations or related roles, with 3+ years in MICE operations leadership.
  • Industry Knowledge: Strong knowledge of the MICE industry, event management best practices, and vendor management.
  • Leadership Skills: Proven leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Project Management: Ability to handle multiple projects and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Office, event management software, and reporting tools.
