Job Title: As400 Developer

Key Responsibilities:
  • Application Development: Develop software applications on the AS/400 platform.
  • System Integration: Integrate AS/400 applications with external systems, databases and web services.
  • Database Management: Work with DB2 for i databases, including designing, creating and maintaining physical and logical files, and optimizing queries.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Support and Troubleshooting: Provide ongoing maintenance and support for existing AS/400 applications.
  • Performance Tuning: Optimize performance for AS/400 applications.
  • Documentation: Document all software development processes, system modifications and troubleshooting steps.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand and deliver technical solutions.
  • Testing and Quality Assurance: Perform unit testing, system testing and quality assurance on new developments and enhancements.
  • Version Control: Utilize version control and source code management tools.
  • Security and Compliance: Implement and maintain security practices and ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory requirements.
