About our Job:

  • We are seeking an experienced AS400/RPG developer to lead our team and drive innovation.

Responsibilities:

  • Expertise in IBM i / AS/400 platform, RPG IV / RPG Free Format, CLLE, and ILE concepts is required.
  • Strong command of RPG IV / RPG Free Format, CLLE, and ILE concepts is essential.
  • Experience working with OMS, Inventory, WMS, and PO modules is necessary.
  • Deep understanding of DB2/400 – physical/logical files, SQL, journaling, triggers is required.
  • Strong debugging skills using STRDBG, job logs, and error analysis are essential.
  • Experience with batch jobs, interactive screens, menus, and subfiles is necessary.
  • Familiarity with file-based integrations and data exchange formats (EDI, XML, CSV) is required.
  • Experience with Change Management tools (Aldon, Turnover, Rocket, etc.) is beneficial.
  • Understanding of business workflows in the supply chain or retail domain is essential.
  • Understanding of API development on IBM i using Open Access or web services is required.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science or related field is required.
  • 12 - 20 years of experience on IBM i / AS/400 platform is essential.
  • Experience in the retail domain is beneficial.
  • Create projects in a modular fashion and encourage re-use of code is required.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation is essential.
  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities is required.
  • Participate in code reviews is beneficial.
  • Strong Communications and Client interaction skills are essential.
