Job Overview

The role of Functional Cost Controller is a critical position that requires a strategic thinker to manage financial processes and drive continuous improvement.

  • Develop and implement financial strategies to optimize cost management and improve overall efficiency.
  • Provide insightful financial analysis and reporting to support business decision-making.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify areas for process improvement and implement changes.
Key Responsibilities
  • Manage functional P&L analysis and relevant balance sheet accounts.
  • Review and monitor functional cost development, including operations, one-offs, and projects.
  • Oversee monthly/quarterly/annual financial processes, including month-end closing, quarterly forecast, and annual budget.
  • Analyze actuals vs. budget and track transformation initiatives savings.
  • Work with accounting and other finance departments to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Implement and maintain robust SOX and internal controls to ensure timely cost recognition.
  • Interact with the tax team on fiscal matters related to overhead cost sharing or projects.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Chartered Accountant/Cost & Management Accountant/MBA (Finance) from a reputable institution.
  • 5-8 years of experience in financial analyst/control functions.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 applications, including MS Excel, MS PowerPoint.
  • Knowledge of ERP systems, Business Warehouse, PowerBi.
  • Fluent in English, both verbally and in writing.
  • Flexible and able to work in a demanding environment within an international context.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to create enthusiasm and drive change.
