Optimize Production Efficiency as a Strategic Planner

Job Description:

The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the entire production planning cycle, from forecasting to inventory management. They will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure efficient production scheduling, resource allocation, and material procurement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage detailed production forecasts based on customer orders, historical data, and market trends to ensure optimal inventory and production schedules.
  • Create, monitor, and adjust the production schedule based on demand, raw material availability, and manufacturing capacity.
  • Coordinate the availability of manpower, machinery, and materials to meet production targets.
  • Ensure the accurate and timely procurement of materials required for production, minimizing downtime due to material shortages.
  • Analyze production capacity and recommend adjustments to ensure efficient use of resources and alignment with production goals.
  • Track production progress and ensure that timelines, quality standards, and budgets are adhered to.
  • Monitor production costs and implement cost-saving measures without compromising quality.
  • Identify and resolve issues impacting production schedules, quality, or efficiency.
  • Prepare and submit regular production performance reports, identifying key metrics such as throughput, downtime, and resource utilization.
  • Implement and promote lean manufacturing principles to reduce waste, improve efficiency, and streamline operations.
  • Continuously analyze and optimize production processes, equipment utilization, and workforce efficiency.
  • Conduct investigations into production delays or quality issues, implement corrective actions, and develop preventive measures.
  • Manage and supervise a team of production planners, analysts, and coordinators, ensuring efficient workflow and communication.
  • Provide ongoing training and development opportunities for team members to improve their technical and leadership skills.
  • Oversee timely replenishment of raw materials and finished goods to prevent production delays.
  • E nsure all production activities comply with industry regulations and safety standards.
  • Promote a culture of safety within the production environment by implementing safety measures, conducting safety audits, and addressing potential risks.
