Financial Professional

Key Job Responsibilities:

  • Ensure timely posting of month-end accruals and prepayments for accurate financial reporting needs.
  • Set up and input bank transactions as journals to maintain ledger accuracy.
  • Produce daily cash reports for regional businesses, reviewing requirements to ensure adequate funding arrangements.
  • Establish and post monthly journals for depreciation and update supporting spreadsheets.
  • Manage treasury functions, including payments, Interco invoice settlement, and maintaining optimal cash levels in local accounts.
  • Generate trial balances for relevant countries to meet financial reporting deadlines.
  • Provide management information for UK and local needs as required.
  • Conduct P&L reviews, flux analysis, and contribute to cost control initiatives.
  • Collaborate with the Finance Manager and team members to ensure year-end audit, statutory accounts, and tax returns are filed on time.
  • Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations of control accounts, bank accounts, and asset/debtor/creditor accounts.
  • Liaise with other Finance team members to ensure account integrity.
  • Maintain compliance with Group Finance policies and procedures.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification
  • 1-2+ years' experience in regional accounting roles
  • Proficiency in accounting systems, preferably Oracle, and familiarity with financial reporting and reconciliation requirements
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP
  • Intermediate-level Excel skills, with Hyperion experience an advantage
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and clients across countries
  • Superior written and oral English capabilities
