High-Performance Mainframe Systems Professional

As a seasoned IT professional, you will play a pivotal role in the administration and maintenance of our mainframe environment. This includes performing CICS systems programming activities, handling version upgrades, and executing SMP/E-based maintenance tasks.
The ideal candidate will possess strong knowledge of CICS Systems Programming, as well as expertise in z/OS, JCL, REXX, VSAM, Endevor, CA7, ServiceNow, and z/OS Explorer. Experience with CICS upgrades and maintenance via SMP/E is also highly desirable.
You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless operations and provide top-notch support for z/OS Connect. Your excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills will be invaluable in this role.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform CICS systems programming and administration activities.
- Handle CICS version upgrades, CICS TS upgrades, and Transaction Server upgrades.
- Execute CICS maintenance activities using SMP/E.
- Manage CICS RDO – define and manage CICS resources online/offline.
- Create, configure, and sunset CICS regions as required.
- Modify CICS configurations and troubleshoot issues.
- Strong knowledge of CICS Systems Programming.
- Expertise in z/OS, JCL, REXX, VSAM, Endevor, CA7, ServiceNow, and z/OS Explorer.
- Experience with CICS upgrades and maintenance via SMP/E.
- Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
