Market Risk Professional

This is a critical onsite opportunity for an experienced candidate to manage specialized risk management functions within the Enterprise Risk Management practice of a leading bank in the GCC region.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Establishing policies and guidelines for enhanced monitoring of Treasury/Investment/Liquidity risk.
  • Performing valuation of Treasury portfolios, including Forex, Fixed Income, Derivatives, Equity, and other assets.
  • Providing independent mid-office monitoring support on NOP, Fixed income, FIG, Derivatives, limit monitoring, and others.
  • Monitoring hedge effectiveness on a periodic basis and implementing Capital charge and Counterparty Risk Charge.
  • Conducting technical analysis of Equities, Bonds, and Money market funds.
  • Maintaining all types of limit monitoring related to treasury activities as prescribed in Internal and regulatory policies.
  • Reconciling MTM with counterparty banks for derivatives deals undertaken and making/responding margin calls in term of CSA arrangement with them.
  • Preparing Regulatory and internal daily and periodical reports and Board notes on accurate and timely submission.
  • Enhancing methodologies for counterpart credit risk measures like PFE, CVA, etc.
Liquidity Risk and ALM
  • Monitoring and simulating LCR/NSFR.
  • Robustly monitoring and risk reporting on Maturity of ALM products.
  • Setting limits for MAL/SAL using statistical modeling techniques.
  • Generating Interest rate risk on bank's book basis IRRBB or via Sensitivity Report analysis like NII and EVE.
  • Having a good understanding of Behavioral studies of ALM products.
  • Implementing experience of ALM/Market Risk system from end to end.
  • Pricing/Hedging of banking products across asset classes (Rates, FX, Bonds).
  • Being well-versed with Stress testing of Liquidity and Interest rate risk.
  • Having knowledge of ICAAP, RAROC, FTP methodologies, RAS will be preferable.
  • Handling Audit queries and providing active assistance in audit.
