Job Title: Finishing Stentor Supervisor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Finishing Stentor Supervisor to join our team.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the fabric finishing process, with a focus on operating and managing the stenter machine. This role requires strong technical knowledge, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Production Management:
    • Supervise stenter operations to ensure production goals are met
    • Schedule production and plan coordinating finishing tasks to align with dyeing and printing schedules
    • Monitor parameters and ensure all stenter machine settings are correctly calibrated to meet fabric specifications
    • Handle machine issues and troubleshoot technical problems to minimize downtime
  2. Quality Control:
    • Inspect fabric to verify it meets quality standards for color consistency, width uniformity, and finish
    • Conduct routine checks to ensure the stenter machine is functioning correctly and producing quality output
    • Address fabric defects and identify solutions
  3. Team Leadership and Safety:
    • Train staff and provide guidance to stenter operators and other finishing staff
    • Manage personnel and enforce work rules to maintain a productive and safe work environment
    • Enforce safety protocols and implement procedures for high-temperature and high-speed machinery
  4. Documentation and Reporting:
    • Generate production reports and prepare daily reports outlining output, efficiency, and any issues
    • Maintain shift records and ensure accurate recording of machine settings and production runs

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

  1. Experience:
    • Proven experience in fabric finishing with a strong background in operating stenter machines
  2. Technical Knowledge:
    • A thorough understanding of stenter machine operations, fabric properties, and various finishing chemicals
  3. Leadership Skills:
    • Excellent team management and training abilities
  4. Attention to Detail:
    • Strong attention to detail to ensure quality control and adherence to specifications
  5. Problem-Solving Abilities:
    • The capacity to troubleshoot and resolve operational issues efficiently
  6. Communication Skills:
    • Good verbal and written communication for reporting and team coordination
