Business Analyst - Insurance Domain Expert

About this Role:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Business Analyst with strong experience in process/data mapping within the insurance domain. This individual will work closely with stakeholders to analyze business processes, identify gaps, and create detailed mappings to support system implementations, process improvements, and regulatory compliance.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders across underwriting, claims, policy servicing, and IT to gather and document business requirements.
  • Create detailed as-is and to-be process maps using tools like Visio, Lucidchart, or ARIS to visualize workflows and identify inefficiencies.
  • Define and document data flows between systems, ensuring alignment with business rules and regulatory requirements.
  • Identify gaps between current and desired states and propose actionable solutions.
  • Act as a liaison between business units and technical teams to ensure clear communication and alignment.
  • Prepare BRDs, FRDs, use cases, and user stories to support development and testing teams.
  • Evaluate mapped processes against insurance regulations and risk mitigation strategies.
