Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Reinsurance Business Analyst with deep domain expertise in the Property and Casualty (P&C) insurance industry. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in bridging the gap between business stakeholders and technical teams, focusing on reinsurance processes, systems, and data flows. This role requires strong analytical capabilities, excellent communication skills, and a thorough understanding of reinsurance operations including treaty and facultative reinsurance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and document reinsurance business processes, workflows, and system requirements.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and validate business requirements related to treaty, facultative, and proportional/non-proportional reinsurance.
  • Work closely with IT teams to translate business needs into functional specifications and support solution design.
  • Assist in the implementation and enhancement of reinsurance systems and platforms, including data migration and integration.
  • Conduct gap analysis, impact assessments, and propose process improvements.
  • Support UAT (User Acceptance Testing) and ensure solutions meet business expectations.
  • Facilitate technical and functional discussions with internal teams and external vendors.
  • Prepare detailed documentation including BRDs, FRDs, use cases, and process flows

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum 8 years of experience as a Business Analyst in the P&C insurance domain, with at least 3 years focused on reinsurance.
  • Strong understanding of reinsurance principles, including treaty and facultative arrangements.
  • Experience with reinsurance systems (e.g., SAP FS-RI, Duck Creek Reinsurance, or similar platforms).
  • Proficiency in data analysis, SQL, and reporting tools.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Duck Creek Technologies or other core insurance platforms.
  • Familiarity with regulatory and compliance requirements in reinsurance.
  • Certification in Business Analysis (CBAP, CCBA) or insurance-related certifications (e.g., ARe, CPCU).
