
Merchandising Strategist

The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving category range building, pricing, and positioning in collaboration with the design and planning team.
They will implement the brand vision across every aspect of the role, ensuring strategic alignment and market relevance.
Key to success is staying on top of local, regional, and global trends to identify market opportunities and drive business growth.
With an innovative approach, they will continuously evaluate and adapt ways of working to optimize outcomes.
As a thought leader, they will provide expert insights on consumer needs, market dynamics, cultural influencers, and general trends, as well as competitor intelligence.
Utilizing these insights, they will brief market-specific requirements, select regional lines from global lines, and develop assortments from regional and global lines.
Striking a balance between indigenously developed products and global product lines, they will cater to the Indian consumer base.
External stakeholders, vendors, retail, channel, and online sales partners will be involved in this process.
The ideal candidate will possess a sound understanding of merchandising principles and basic financial acumen.
Applying analytical thinking, they will identify opportunities through data analysis, build and monitor apparel assortments according to regional needs for womenswear, execute and implement brand strategies, spot market and business opportunities, and track sales and volume across sales channels, retail outlets, SKU, EBO, and ecommerce.
Participating in fit test and line adopt meetings, analyzing and interpreting selling and consumer data to inform the brief, creating the category brief with market-specific requirements, and collaborating with partners to execute the brand vision.
