Job Description

The primary objective of the Merchandising Manager role is to oversee the merchandising function across multiple units and locations. This position plays a pivotal part in aligning product, pricing, marketing, and customer engagement strategies with the company's broader business objectives. To excel in this role, one must possess leadership skills, creativity, customer understanding, and strategic thinking to grow the organization's footprint across direct and retail markets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct responsibility for the company's merchandising function.
  • Maintain, develop, and grow existing and new clients.
  • Handle the merchandizing function across units/country at multiple locations.
  • Develop and coordinate marketing/selling cycles and methodologies.
  • Oversee the company's merchandising/marketing function to identify and develop new customers for products and services.
  • Plan for growth based on the annual business plan.
  • Research and develop strategies and plans to identify marketing opportunities and new project development.
  • Analyze and evaluate the effectiveness of sales methods, costs, and results.
  • Develop and manage merchandising and marketing budgets.
  • Plan and coordinate image building/public affairs, and communications efforts, including public relations.
  • Directly manage major and critical developing client accounts and coordinate the management of all other accounts.
  • Participate in the development of new project proposals.
  • Establish and implement short- and long-range goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures.
  • Supervise the planning and development of company marketing, merchandising, and communications materials.
  • Represent the company at various community and/or business meetings to promote the company.
  • Supervise the preparation, issuance, and delivery of sales materials, exhibits, and promotion programs.
  • Promote positive relations with partners, vendors, and distributors.
  • Recommend and administer marketing/merchandizing policies and procedures to enhance operations.
  • Work with functional heads and other corporate staff to develop future business plans to achieve the vision through clearly agreed strategies.
  • Establish and implement short- and long-range departmental goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures.
  • Work with planning and policy-making committees.
