Senior Manager, IT Applications

About the Role:

The Senior Manager, IT Applications is responsible for overseeing the operation of all academic and administrative applications at our campus. This includes managing various mission-critical systems such as Salesforce CRM & Admissions, Student Information System (SIS), Learning Management System (LMS), Library Management System, Financial ERP, HRMS, and more.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Application Management
    • Manage the lifecycle of enterprise applications including deployment, configuration, upgrades, integration, and performance optimization.
    • Evaluate and enhance application availability, reliability, and security to meet organizational needs.
    • Oversee issue resolution, incident management, and root cause analysis for application-related problems.
  • Stakeholder Engagement
    • Promote effective communication with academic leaders and administrative heads to understand requirements and deliver targeted solutions.
    • Act as liaison with application vendors and service providers to drive quality service delivery.
    • Lead user adoption initiatives including training and support to optimize system utilization.
  • Strategic Planning & Governance
    • Develop and execute an application roadmap aligned with institutional goals for digital transformation.
    • Establish governance standards, documentation, and compliance with IT policies to ensure alignment with best practices.
    • Recommend innovative technology solutions to enhance teaching, learning, and operations.
  • Team Leadership & Vendor Management
    • Lead and mentor the application support team to foster growth and improvement.
    • Manage vendor relationships, negotiate contracts/SLAs, and oversee quality service delivery.
    • Promote a culture of service excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement within the team.
  • Integration & Data Management
    • Drive seamless integration of multiple systems to ensure data consistency and accessibility.
    • Maintain data integrity, consistency, and adherence to regulatory requirements.
    • Ensure data privacy, cybersecurity, and higher education regulatory compliance across platforms.
