Job Description:

Pocket FM is a pioneering audio entertainment platform that redefines storytelling and content consumption through immersive experiences.

As a senior product security engineer, you will be responsible for championing security throughout our product development lifecycle. You will collaborate with engineering teams and stakeholders to identify and mitigate risks.

The role involves participating in security assessments, threat modeling, penetration testing activities, and defining a comprehensive product security strategy aligned with business objectives and industry best practices.

You will also develop secure coding practices, maintain security engineering standards for the development team, and foster a culture of security awareness.

Additionally, you will work with product managers to integrate security considerations into the product development lifecycle and stay up-to-date on the latest security threats and vulnerabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate in security assessments, threat modeling, and penetration testing activities
  • Define and implement a comprehensive product security strategy
  • Develop secure coding practices and maintain security engineering standards
  • Foster a culture of security awareness and educate teams on best practices
  • Collaborate with product managers to integrate security considerations into the product development lifecycle
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest security threats and vulnerabilities

Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you should have

  • 4+ years of experience in product security or a related field
  • Proven experience in security assessments, threat modeling, code reviews, and penetration testing methodologies
  • In-depth understanding of secure coding practices and SDLC principles
  • Scripting experience in Bash, Python, etc.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with ability to influence cross-functional teams
